The reason for three day maximum use followed by several days off is the
rebound congestion that occurs if it is used continually.
Sounds like the mother in now in an endless cycle.  If she would just take a
few days off the Afrin, she should do much better than using it continually.
In any case, I would think that there is definitely the potential for
possible breast milk volume decrease with the use of Afrin as this mother is
doing.
Using Afrin as directed properly should not be of much concern.
