TThanks for your note, sent you mail today....real mail-not E-mail.
I see that this will be just another
addiction for me. Just exactly what the doctor ordered. This is a
tough case (lactose intolerance)
and what is even tougher is getting a clear history to report....they
have done so many interventions,
but the lactneters who have replied have given me tons of ideas.
It's Saturday and Jay thinks I
should take the night off-what a joke! May have to see a new Client
that can't be put off until
Sunday.

To: ERIC/LESLIE: Thanks for your post. Appreciate your comments.
Look to K. Bruce for your
M...... delema...don't have my copy of rules and regs yet, but I am
assuming that It would be in-
appropriate to mention Co. Names? We know what you mean....however
the mention of Co names
and products can get us in trouble, leave us open for criticism You
think it is hard to understand
these US policies? Try living here in the middle of the piddle!

Regarding the co-bathing issue and FTT-must comment on how I approve
of the concept. Have
been using H. Harris video on co-bathing even in by BF classes. To
date, I have had the oppor-
turnity to recommend this remedy to two mothers locally with amazing
success on the first try. Of
course, one mother had to nurse in the tub for the next three feeds,
but baby eventually got
the hang of it and could nurse out of water...everything is an
addiction today. One little guy
thought he could only do it in the water, we had to get mom and baby
out of the water (still
attached) and sitting in a chair to wean him out of the tubby...oh
well. Mothers are so surprised
that I would like to give them a bath with their babies....

Last months BF class I had an MD/Pediatrician who praised all the
info she received. She was
so sweet, even brought fruit to class for a snack. She has had a
wonderful post partum course
despite her Caesarean (undetected breech). She commented that she
had always warned mothers
not to sleep with their babies. Another one for our side, she loves
it...me too...

This months BF class I hosted a PhD who wrote down every word I said,
in spite of the well
referenced syllabus I provided all attendees. Her shock over the
idea of sleeping with an infant
set off a 15 min discussion. Holy mackeral....were it not for the
family bed my children would
never have survived. This mother never got up to feed anyone!

Hi Pardee...liked your comments about the syringe.....agree with you
that no mom is going to
do anything that hurts her. As far as product liability is concerned,
 it is really questionable-
wonder if any other lactneters will comment.
