after the ped. has r/o eczema and yeast infection you might think it could be lack of zinc.  Riordan-Auerback, second edition pag.132  "A slowing growth rate and persistent perioral or perianal rash (with or without diarrhea) in infants fed solely breastmilk may be due to zinc depletion".
