We have had the question come up several times in our LLL group regarding
the safety of taking Zoloft while nursing. I have read Hale about it but,
not being a nurse or physician I don't really understand what the protien-
binding thing is and how that helps the drug stay out of the mothers milk
to a great degree. I've done some reading on this subject on this drug and
others but still feel like I'm not giving the best answers to those who
ask. Can someone explain how it works in the case of Zoloft specifically
but with other drugs as well?

Thanks--Betsy Koval
