I really don't know why cipro was ordered for this particular mother.
I work on night duty in ICN/SCN and was told the mother was dumping her ebm
until a certain date because she was taking this drug for a severe wound
infection.(LUSCS). The baby is at least 20 days old ,I'm persuming mum was
prescribed the drug for at least 10-14days as today is the date that she can
stop dumping.
I'm wondering how long it would last in the EBM if it was frozen and given
at a later date.
The baby was around 30wks and in the 1500-2000gms range,I'm not at work so I
can't check the correct age & wt.
