I so agree with Jaye. There is absolutely NO POINT in being an IBCLC if 
you have some other HCP credential, because only that credential has 
any value and your IBCLC is a useless, expensive waste of paper. And, 
of course there is NO POINT in being an IBCLC if you have no other HCP 
credential, b/c you are then simply a lackey for the medical model and 
your IBCLC is a useless, expensive waste of paper. So, this whole 
certification process was set up for what purpose exactly? To serve 
whom--certainly not mothers and babies....so whom?
