I have heard anecdotal evidence connecting high blood loss during delivery,
leading to a transient low hematocrit, which caused milk to take longer to
come in.  This would be a different situation from a chronic anemia, but
related.  I am curious to see what others have found vis-a-vis blood iron
levels or body iron stores and milk supply or timing of milk coming in
after delivery.
