Anne, how about encouraging her to attend La Leche
League meetings. You can suggest they are great
places to meet other moms. You could "sell" the idea
that friends made at LLLI are potential babysitters,
friends for shopping expeditions, etc. (I doubt she will
want to go just for bf support.) If you want to be really
nice you could buy her a membership.

It sounds like your relative is most in need of context.
Its difficult to be the only one in your universe who is
breastfeeding.

No one gives reality checks (for myths like: formula
makes baby sleep longer, formula is just as good as
bf...) as supurbly as a group of peers who are
breastfeeding their babies!
