Hi Group,

I've had a mom call 3 times now, and she's also called her GP several times, one
LC and a IBCLC...

Her baby was born on 3/12/97 actually was due 4/13/97. this is her 2nd child,
breastfed 1st and is with the second. The problem is excessive gassiness. "we"
have told her to elimanate all dairy from her diet and I spoke to her about
"hidden" dairy and that she shouldn't be "sneaking" any dairy, and that she
needs to be dairy free for at least 2 weeks before she will probably even begin
to see any changes...if that was/is the problem.

She is also using Simethicone and Levisin, says these give very temporary
relief. Her mother also suggested a hot water bottle on baby's stomach, which
she is doing.

"We" have also discussed the need for baby's system to grow/mature.

I am really frustrated because she doesn't seem to want to wait to see if dairy
elimanation works or if he just needs to grow a little, now isn't this a
surprise...somebody wanting an instant fix! Does anybody have anything to add,
suggestions....
