I have a friend who is breastfeeding her 16 month old.  She took
him to Dr. was to told he hadn't gained enough since his last
visit, told her to wean "cold turkey" so that he would learn to
eat better, and thus gain weight.  She went home crying, then
thought about it and decided not to take the Dr. advice.  The
little boy is growing, gaining in all ways, etc.  She moved from
our area last summer, she wants to change Dr.'s now.  If there is
anyone out there in the Grants Pass Oregon area and knows a bf
friendly Dr. or LLL or other nursing mothers group there, please
e-mail me privately.
