I need help with a mother and a six day old.

Baby hasn't latched on since birth. She just opens her mouth and sits
there. Mother has very large flat nipples and baby has a small mouth. We
began spoon feeding at day one and at day three began finger feeding since
the baby would suck agressively on her parents fingers. She is gaining well
and looks just fine but is unwilling to even try nursing at the breast.,

The physcian checked the baby and everything seems ok neurologically and
physically within normal limits.

The mother did have an epidural and a relatively long labor. No forceps were
used.

The mother is doing lots of skin to skin contact and has confidence that baby
is feeding ok but is getting tired from pumping every 2-3 hours and then
fiinger feeding.

Suggestions please!
