Hi all,
I'm at work right now in oby\gyn and Dr Hale's site is blocked here so I
need your help. We have a patient here who received 85 mg methotrexate for
an ectopic pregnancy. She is breastfeeding her 9 month old pretty much
every 3 hours around the clock. The doctor told her that she would have to
stop nursing for a period of time but did not know for how long. She will
be going home tomorrow. I saw a few things posted on Dr. Hale's site (I
could read but not post) suggesting 48 - 72 hours but the advice was for
younger babies and besides, there is a big difference between 48 and 72
hours when you and your baby are dying to nurse.
Appreciate any help,
Thanks so much,
