Jessica,

You really answered your own question....they are too busy. They are not
doing the same breastfeeding management. I am a mother of five, my age when
children were born, 26, 30, 33, 35, & 38 (& still nursing). I remember with
the 3rd & 4th ones having to sit and remind myself that I needed to nurse
until the baby quit not until I had to jump up to do something for another
child. I made sure that for at least 3 to 4 nursings a day that I had to wait
until the baby was done. With my last one the other ones were able to help
out more with each other and with him I had actually tons more milk thant
with the others.

So actually she might be short changing the baby because there are so many
others depending on her too. She needs to look at that part of it.

<< The usual situation is someone who has nursed all
her kids without problems, successfully, and all of the sudden they have a
baby who is just not gaining, while they are still doing the same
management of BF. It breaks my heart to see it, and these moms are usually
too busy for the "put your all into it, nurse around the clock, pump, etc"
 advise. >>
