Hi all!

A friend of mine's two year old daughter contracted "geographical
tongue". It's a virus of the tongue. Anyhow, her daughter is still nursing,
and she was wondering if there was any problem nursing? Should she be
concerned about getting it from her or having it on her nipples?

My gut feeling was that the situation was most contagious as her
daughter was acquiring the virus, and since she still had no symptoms that it
did not seem like it was worth worrying about; likewise, I cannot seem to
find any literature on this subject. Anyone out there have experience with
this virus? Debbie Albert, IBCLC
