The most common side effect of azithromycin is GI in nature.  I couldn't
find the ref Kathy D gave Re: Hallucinations or nightmares.  She probably
had what is termed an idiosyncratic reaction. As a PCN allergic person I
find Zithromax very useful :-) Haven't ever heard of this in pts either.
Usually tummy aches, diarrhea. Rarely see reactions to it.   Sincerely, Pat
