Found an interesting commentary on the ignorance in our culture in a
paragraph in a Letter to the Editor in our Dayton Daily News today.

The letter is headlined "Decorum Doesn't Seem to Matter Any More", and
the writer says "If this puts me in the category of fuddy duddy, so be
it."

". . .I cannot help feeling very dispirited by the fact that it has
nowadays become the norm to bare breasts in public and wear baseball caps
while eating in restaurants..........

Finally, what in the world would prompt a woman--any woman--to head for a
store at the time her baby requires feeding? "I have to nurse the baby,
so I am going to Wal-Mart," appears to indicate very poor planning and
extraordinarily bad timing."

I, too, am dispirited on reading this. I wonder if the "fuddy duddy"
would have the same reaction when any one of dozens of mothers in that
same store would pull a bottle of ABM out of a diaper bag and hand it to,
or prop it in the mouth of her baby in the stroller, simply because she
had "very poor planning and extraordinarily bad timing" about when HER
baby was going to become hungry or thirsty? Isn't such planning part of
the reason diaper bags are made the way they are, let alone ads for new
cars?
