Dear Rachael,

This is very interesting...I just sent a letter to the Boston Globe with
almost all those same points of interest outlined (iq, diabetes, Crohn's,
etc.), in response to an article on Evolutionary Health which stated
incompletely why women would have less breast cancer if they had more
children at a younger age:  because they were breastfeeding, not because
they had been pregnant!   Anyway...

I got all the facts from the La Leche "Facts About Breastfeeding 1994"
handout, which gives all the quotes and has all the journal references
right there on it, on one double-sided page, no less!  (Sorry, haven't
seen the one for 1995.)  (1994's doesn't mention the childhood leukemia
prevention, but perhaps 1995's does?)  If you want, I'd be glad to fax it to
you.
