I am preparing a presentation for multidisciplinary staff and came across this phrase in this article-

can someone please explain to me in simple terms what this means-

Lactogenesis II, or the onset of copious milk production, is triggered by transcription of prolactin-responsive genes following removal of placental progesterone [49].

Specifically this part -triggered by transcription of prolactin-responsive genes
