Karleen, I am pointing out that there are a number of possible factors and
that we simply do not know from the evidence of such a curve if there is a
causal relation or if the two curves are actually both showing effects from
a third cause or group of causes.  I haveno evidence that mother support
groups have *not* helped increase bf rates, but I also have no evidence to
say that the rise of these groups may not have been caused by an upsurge of
interest in breastfeeding.  Who knows?
