Hi there,

To me this sounds a lot like the 'normal' stretching of the nipple that
occurs in the first weeks of breastfeeding to 'loosen' the adhesions in the
nipple itself, don't you think? Please let us know what it turns out to be.

Does this sound like Raynaud's (nipple vasospasm)
>to you? Or is it a case of her flat/inverted nipple being compressed as it
>is buried under the skin each time the baby nurses? Recurrent thrush?
It's painful for the first minute or so, and
then I'm ok once my nipple is stretched.
