It was always my understanding that the thinking behind starting some other
form of birth control when babe started solids was the implication that if the
baby were on solids, his time at the breast would diminish..........therefore
less prolactin/oxytocin stimulation for mom, and you can guess the rest!
(I'm way behind on my posts, this has probably already thoroughly discussed,
but oh well!)
