Thanks, Pat, for reminding us. These posts (many of them American English
idioms) have just made me think "What if Gonneke (or Esther, or someone
from France or Spain, etc.) were to decide to use a German (Hebrew,
French, Spanish etc.) idiom, reduce it to an acronym, and then use it in
her post without explanation? Sure would block communication to me!
