I know that .36 is just within the lab ranges for normal, but the ranges
being looked at for fertility issues, and arguably perhaps for lactation
also, are more along the lines of .5-2.5 or may 3.0. This mom is borderline
hyperthyroid and needs to be watched carefully. If the situation does not
improve or seems to deteriorate, she should request another thyroid test.

I have found that unless a mother has a history of thyroid problems, most
doctors do not routinely test thyroid function during pregnancy. It is
possible for a thyroid problem to develop then, or for postpartum
thyroiditis to set in after birth. There is potential to affect milk
production.  I'm not saying that this is the case for certain, but the
potential is there.

The only partially corrected posterior tongue-tie does not help, but when a
mom can't get a supply with good pumping management from the start, that's a
red flag when coupled with borderline hormones.
