Well, I'd say US docs don't have a monopoly on that ...
A good part of calls I get from moms is because doc or well baby clinic nurse
says baby isn't gaining enough or to much or to irregular or ...
I remember one of my babies (now a 16yo girl) sitting on the nurse's desk,
all chubby and alert and giggling, right next to the chart where her line was
not as to be expected according to the pre-printed lines. And the nurse looking
at the chart (hardly noticable because of chubby baby) shaking her head and
making tsh-tsh noises

Do you think there are BMI-es for infants? That would be great, I think.
