You know, for years we've all said, there is no interest in human milk
because you can't make any money off of it.  So I suppose it was only a
matter of time.  When you think of it, it isn't a new idea.  That's really
what wet nursing is all about.  The truly cold part about it though is that
at least the milk used to come out of a human, and at least the baby was
embraced for a  while before the nurse had to give it back.  On the good
side, there may finally be  funding for research into mastitis and other
conditions which limit production;)

Seriously, as someone who is interested in milk banking, I foresee  problems
trying to obtain donor milk for sick babies if all the donors are tempted to
sell their milk.  Donor milk costs about $2.50 an oz for a milk bank to
process.  That's considerably more than twice the cost of formula.
