Checked with an Herbalist friend of mine (yes.....certified, degreed, etc)
and thought I'd share the info she gave me regarding aromatherapy oils:

<<<<Fennel oil has been used traditionally to increase milk flow. I would
never recommend the geranium for the same reason I'd never recommend the
cabbage leaves, there's just way too much margin for error and a mom who
simply wants to relieve engorgement may end up with a drastic drop in supply.
The clary sage is much gentler, you'd really have to go overboard to see a
drastic drop in supply.

As in all aromatherapy it is important to use pure essential oils, not just
fragranced oils, those won't do any good. It's also important for people to
know to dilute essential oils in a carrier oil, rule of thumb is no more than
10 drops of an essential oil in 4 tsp. of a carrier oil. Also, these mixtures
should be massaged into the upper chest and shoulders, NOT directly onto the
breast.>>>>

I thought it was interesting her emphasis to put them on the upper chest and
shoulders and NOT on the breast itself.
