Jan, I can offer no official explanation here, but I had the same thing with both my kids, and it went away as soon as my milk "matured" a bit.  I have also had other women mention it briefly in passing.  I tried increasing liquids and decreasing salts and it DOES go away.I did not take vitamins, but I do eat lots of spice.
