I am convinced this has something to do with prostaglandins. I do not
have Lawrence's most recent edition at home, but in 3rd ed. pp. 63 and
200 tell of possible role in m.e.r.
Also diarrhea common in onset of menstrual period for many. This I read
somewhere has to do with prostaglandins. Also when I got Prostin after
my first birth for uterine atony, the diarrhea was immediate and
unbelievable.
