Last night, while on a family outing in Old Town Pasadena (the local
revived shopping area), we'd gone into a particular square (One Colorado, if
anyone is in the area) where they said there would be art exhibited in the
area. I was coveting a vase at Crate and Barrel when my husband called me
 over to a bench.
Before us was a large box, designed like a children's block, but it had
a lid. When we opened it, there was a screen inside, and all of a sudden
we had a mother's eye view of a shirt being lifted, and a 1 year old
latching on to the breast. We watched a three minute nursing, saw the
mother readjust her clothing, and watched the child go away to play. Then
it went black, and then a we had a view from a different mother who nursed
her two year old, and after that, a different mother nursed an approximately
 6 month old little girl.
It was incredible. My husband and I were amazed to see this. While in
every case, you could see the breast and nipple (though I doubt you could if
you weren't seeing this as the mother did), it was in wonderful taste. I
loved that they showed different races and different ages especially. I'm
sure that some people who stumbled upon it didn't have the same reaction I
did (it was a slow night, so I didn't see anyone else discover this box),
but I was happy to see this to be considered art, and I can't imagine a more
 beautiful subject.
