Baby bottle warmers are simply sealed heating units with a thermostat.  The
thermostat does not delineate between formula, breastmilk, water, or
kool-aid.
The unit heats until the contents reach a pre-determined set point.  This
temperature would probably be less than 100 degrees, much less than direct
heating on a stove, and definitely better than the microwave.  I agree that
warmers are a needless expense, but some mothers "need" all the gadgets.
This is a harmless item
