I know I'm way behind on Lactnet reading, so pardon if this is a repeat, but
I want to congratulate Dr Nancy Wight and Dr Ruth Lawrence, ( and I think it
was CBS) for their part in the news segment about a mother getting donated
milk for her child, which she could not nurse being post-chemo, I believe.
Although the catch-line was about risk and online seraches for milkand made
people want to watch to see what the scare might be, I thought the piece was bal
anced and the mother with the deep freeze of donated milk seemed loving,
committed, thorough, very grateful for such help from so many mothers, and someone
that could be emulated. The clip of her lovingly snuggling while
bottlefeeding the donated milk seemed quite well done.
Kudos,
Judy
