> Another good resource for looking up med compatibility with breastfeeding
is the US National Library of Medicine's Drug and Lactation site, Lactmed.
Here's their info on calcipotriene: (
http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/search/f?./temp/~z62Z6v:1)
"No information is available on the use of calcipotriene during
breastfeeding. Because it is poorly absorbed after topical application,
calcipotriene is probably a low risk to the nursing infant and is generally
considered acceptable during breastfeeding.[1][2][3] Ensure that the
infant's skin does not come into direct contact with the areas of skin that
have been treated and do not apply it to the nipple area. "

One thing nice about that site is that the physician --or anyone--can look
up the meds directly on line, and there's credibility aspect as many doctors
may not be familiar with Hale.
