Phyllis did a good nonlegal summary, but she's exactly on the mark. Inmates do not have any rights and what she said is pretty much it. Teach mom to hand express. If she gets mastitis, that is a medical condition that has to be treated. What needs to be done is for breastfeeding groups to work with the penal system in their states, but even then it is very unlikely anything will be done.
