After posting a submission a little while ago, with probably not much good
advice, it did occur to me that  Baby Friendly Hospitals use these numbers
in the first days for  newborn feeding:

 

Day 1: 5-7 ml, Day 2: 15 ml, Day 3: 30 ml, Day 4: 45 ml. per feeding.

 

Should formula mimic those amounts?
