With regard to cost of the IBLCE exam, ALCC (Association of Lactation
Consultant Certification) is an international association which provides
financial assistance for IBLCE exam candidates who demonstrate financial
need and who work with populations which otherwise may not have access
to the specialized skills of an IBCLC.

The ALCC application is available from the IBLCE International office by
request.  The number of candidates supported each year depends on the
availability of funds, which come from donations, grants and the sale of
IBCLC lapel pins.
