A mother I have contact with just called Hale's hotline about this issue
(her baby is 3mos EBF) and she was told that an intra-muscular cortisone
shot every three months would be considered an L2 risk level. She told me
that the representative said that the drug stays relatively localized (and
hence doesn't get into the milk so much???? Not sure of the implications
here as I wasn't the one calling...) A steroid taken orally daily of 40mg
*would* be of concern according to his hotline.

She found the hotline very helpful!
