Ellen, I think Rachel is right.  Breast shells for a number of years were
often referred to as "Swedish milk cups" or sometimes "Swiss milk cups."
(Made me wonder if the Swiss ones were chocolate.)  First time someone asked
me for those, I was stumped.  But they were basic breast shells.  They used to
be a lot bigger than the ones I see today which may explain why you were given
the impression that they covered most of the breast.  For many of us, they
would have!
