Hi Pat,
Although I don't have a real answer, I have seen the same thing in my own
baby on a couple of occasions  The dad is right, it really does look like
tiny black strings mixed in with regular breastmilk poop!  The "strings"
were distributed fairly evenly throughout the poop.  I was alarmed at first,
as this had never occurred with my first two children.  We never made it to
the doctor because I gave it the old "let's see what the next poop looks
like test".  The two times it happened, it cleared up by itself.  I will say
that my third baby seems more food sensitive than the first two were even
though they were all three exclusively breastfeed.  Maybe someone else has
some answers...
