I am being interviewed (TV) on Friday of this week (!) about the negative
effects of induction on the well-being of the baby, including on
breastfeeding. The reporter has already interviewed an OB who is totally
accepting of the convenience to *everyone* of this practice. One of the
hospitals in our area has a 35% induction rate, only 5% of which are
medically necessary.

I am going to the archives because I know that we have discussed this, but
if anyone can give me some good hard facts to use I would greatly
appreciate it, particularly as it pertains to lactation. The reporter was a
client 2 years ago and had a "gut feeling" that there was something wrong
in this wholesale forcing of babies to come before their "time."

So I'll be grateful for anything.
