<< The pediatrics dept at my hospital voted to start giving out formula packs
again after years without doing so. Folks, we're going back to the dark ages.
I feel like the evil forces are taking over the universe. Kathleen B. Bruce,
BSN, IBCLC >>

My new mom's group was recently relocated to a stroller unfriendly area in a
building in the process of some renovations - so it will be stroller
friendly, eventually. I had explained well in advance of the move, in
meetings and direct conversations with administration, how/why new moms would
not be happy about abandoning their strollers or otherwise having difficulty
using them, but was assured repeatedly by administration that there was NO
alternative. During the first new moms group meeting at this new location I
explained to the group, the temporary nature of this situation and how we
will work to minimize inconvenience (and so on in the spirit of damage
control and positive PR). One mom was, in particular, unsatisfied with the
explanation. As usual, I suggested that administration finds customer
opinions and comments valuable to the process of our commitment to continuous
quality improvement.(no administrator can effectively argue with that) She
went home and called (very articulate woman) the head CEO of this vast
organization ( owns several hospitals and various other healthcare facilities
/services) that I work for and the next meeting was in a very stroller
friendly room that had been previously not even possibly available for our
use.

I don't believe there are evil forces, only evil deeds. The force is good and
powerful. Despair not, like-minded warrior-consumers may appear from the
darkness to help you battle those evil deeds. May the force be with you.
