Lucas was the author, the article appeared in The Lancet in the
1970's...  He studied how long it took the baby to remove the milk that
was stored in the breast between feedings.  This was before it was known
that multiple MER's occur, and that the breast makes milk on demand.
        I ask mothers if they would follow advice this old for the treatment of
cancer, or if they would want state of the art knowlege instead.  They
get the point.
