Kim & others working with hospital staff,

I was also encouraged by all those who offered Kim such good advice and words
of wisdom.

Now that I have my emotions under control, I have the following
recommendations.
You may want to listen to these tapes from the recent conference, 1998
International Conference on the Theory & Practice of Human Lactation Research
& BF Management, held in Orlando, FL. To order: Health Education Associates,
Inc., 8 Jan Sebastion Way #13, Sandwich, MA 02563, phone 508-888-8044.

"I Have Met the Enemy and He is Us"-Marie Biancuzzo
She speaks specifically to those of us who work in hospitals and how to deal
with physicians & nurses on staff. A must "hear" for all hospital lactation
specialists.

"Disseminating Knowledge: Presenting to Colleagues"-Debi Bocar
Excellent information for anyone who teaches adults. One of her recommended
books is Presentations That Get Results, 14 Reasons Yours May Not by Marian K.
Woodall, pub. Professional Business Communication, Lake Oswego, OR, 1997.

"The Reluctant Nurser"-Kittie Frantz
I will be presenting some of this information to the staff at our hospital to
deal with the sleepy baby that we all see.

I will also include information from Marshall Klaus & T. B. Brazelton to show
NORMAL newborn behavior. Dr. Klaus spoke at the 1997 International Conferece
on the Theory & Practice . . .

Good luck & happy presenting!
Laura Hart, RN, BSN, IBCLC
