Hello all, having observed several nursing mothers use echinacea and upon
the advice of a local health food store associate I have been using the full
recommended dosage of echinacea for two weeks now trying to recoop myself and
my 6 week old back to health after one doozie of a shared cold. I have used
echinacea regularly with my 4 1/2 year old starting at about 9 months of age.
When not nursing (was there ever such a time?) I depend on an
echinacea/goldenseal complex to pump up my immune system at needed times but
am affraid the goldenseal might be too abrasive for a nursing infants
system. Let me add that I depend on the echinacea to be administered
through my milk supply not directly to the child that is exclusively nursed.
Does anyone out there have any experiece with homeopathic remedies for
colds/flus for mothers of nursing infants? -Sandy
