Well, aside from celebrating being women and being ABLE to create life, I usually also note that boys end up shaving daily, going bald, getting enlarged prostates and (the most important thing when you're 12, 13, 14...) they get MUCH worse acne.  They don't give two hoots about the baby issue, being way too equivocal about their sexuality, present or impending, as it is.

Beats me.  The nurses and teachers here don't officially do any of these things without pay.  Sure they sometimes do without breaks, but they are in the contract. Perhaps the unionisation of nurses and teachers is good for that?
