When I worked in a hospital, we got lovely nursing hospital gowns with
nursing slits, arms with snaps, and ties in the back, to replace the
regular gowns that had all of the above except the nursing slits. We
quickly found that the slits rarely worked well except for the
occasional slender, small-busted mom, and reverted to unsnapping the
arms as we had previously done.
The funny part of this was that these gowns did not come up on the
laundry carts everyday; some days we got the older gowns. The other ones
sometimes went to other floors. Can you imagine what some of the other
patients (and staff!) thought those slits were for?? LOL,
