To Chris: You mentioned in your post that DHEA originates from cholesterol.
I'm wondering if in this day and age of low cholesterol diets, people are
now experiencing decreases in their DHEA levels, and that's the basis for all
this hoopla about DHEA supplementation???

To Marie: Your post about soured EBM that had been frozen reminded me of an
identical situation I encountered. School teacher went back to work with a
freezer full of EBM, only to find it had all soured. I called Medela and
asked for their advice, since I could not determine any cause. They said to
make sure that containers of frozen EBM not be placed near the fan unit in a
frost-free freezer (in other words, one that self-defrosted.) The on and off
of the fan unit can cause milk to freeze and thaw a bit over and over again,
causing spoilage. This seems to have cured this particular mom's problem. I
try to mention this to anyone freezing milk.
