Hi all

There have been some reports of nipple irritation if mothers put lactaid
directly onto their nipples. Also, as lactaid is an enzyme, it would
be rapidly broken down by acid in baby's stomach, and would thus
have no effect. It will only work if left in milk for 24 hours or
so, (eg adding it to ebm). This is a lot of messing around, and
should be a last resort for babys who are truely lactose intolerant,
rather than 'colicky'. IMHO !
