I couldn't agree more.  However, one hospital in our
area became infamous (in my mind at least!) for
telling moms babies could not "room in" precisely
because it would put them at risk for abduction...

Of course, it wasn't the hospital actually talking,
that would be newsworthy.  Just a handful of
individuals. It's never been clear whether the
hospital policy in question was in writing, or simply
in practice.  I've been told by more than one hospital
that patients cannot see written breastfeeding-related
policy.  It's against policy...
