Re. Flagyl vaginal Gel(Metrogel)

        Metronidazole vaginal gel is poorly absorbed from the vaginal
surfaces.  Indeed,  the plasma levels attained are less than 2% of that
from one 500 mg oral Flagyl tablet.  So it is unlikely the infant would
receive any significant amount of metronidazole at all from this
formulation.
