Cindy has brought up an important point regarding the physical damage that
some breast pumps can cause. If you have mothers who experienced harm from a
medical device such as a breast pump it should be reported to FDA's MedWatch
program. This is one of the few ways we have of tracking harm from breast
pumps and garnering information on which ones are associated with problems.
The reporting can be done from the MedWatch web site at the FDA's page,
www.fda.gov.
